Rendezvous
We meet in the Multi-Purpose Room at Kennedy Middle
School located at 821 Bubb Road, Cupertino, California
every Wednesday from 7:30-8:30 PM during the school
year, except during school holidays. During the summer,
we have a reduced schedule and we meet at Linda Vista
Park. During our meetings, we work on Scout skills,
plan for our outings, advance if necessary, and bond
together by playing in games that revolve around teamwork.

From time to time, we have scheduling conflicts at Kennedy
so we may meet at Faria, Lynbrook High or Miller Middle

How do you join Troop
494?
We're happy that you're interested in joining our troop.
In order to join our troop, you must meet the Boy Scout
requirements first:
- Boy
- At least 11 years old OR earned
AOL from Cub Scoutsor Graduated 5th grade
The following items are required to join
the troop:
- Completed and signed Boy Scout Application
- Class 1/ Class 2 Medical Form
- Check of $21.00 (payable to "Boy Scout Troop
494") for the registration fee with the Boy
Scouts of America and a subscription to Boys Life
Once you join, you should work on earning
your Scout Rank.
Scout Uniform
As member of Troop 494, you will need to obtain
a Scout uniform. You can purchase the uniform at the
South Bay Scout Shop run by the Santa Clara County Council.
At your induction, the Troop will provide you with a
Scout handbook, Troop Numerals, red shoulder loops,
Quality Unit patch and Patrol emblem.. The official
uniform for Troop 494 consists of official shirt, pants
(long or short), socks and belt. The scout will need
to purchase the Santa Clara County Council shoulder
patch and World Scouting patch. At times, there are
uniforms that are donated by scouts that have outgrown
them. Please contact one of our leaders for the contact
information.
The South Bay Scout Shop
The Scout Shop is in the Santa Clara County Council
office located at 970 W. Julian Street, San Jose.
Hours of operation are 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through
Friday and 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Saturday.
